CWDS Training Update

• Training registration for BWDP and PA CareerLink
  partners
• Registration window 5/29/07 7/20/07
• Registration statistics as of Friday 7/13/07
• Total number of staff identified to attend
  training 1594
• Total number of course registrations 1642 out
  of 1951 (84.1)
• All coordinators and staff are encouraged to
  complete their course registrations (including
  instructor-led training and Pre-work
  computer-based training) in the E-LMS as soon as
  possible

  Pre-work course, send an email to

• Staff name

• I did not receive my mid-way checkpoint
• We responded to all coordinators that emailed the
  resource account requesting their mid-way
  checkpoint
• All emails were sent on Monday 7/9 and Tuesday
  7/10
• Technical Requirements for CWDS
• There are no differences in the technical
  requirements needed for staff users vs. public
  users
• How will public users, employers, and providers
  learn about the technical requirements?
• Technical requirements will be posted on the CWDS
  project website as well as incorporated into the
  CWDS help text

• This is the last week for CWDS training
  registration!

• Your input will allow us to better tailor our
  communications, training planning, and readiness
  activities

Local Office Technical Requirements for E-LMS

• Your office computers must be equipped with the
  following to support the E-LMS for CWDS training
  course registration and completion of the
  Pre-work CBT
• Pop-ups must be enabled
• Java compatible web browser (with JRE Sun
  1.4.2_11 or later)
• Javascript must be enabled (the default for
  Internet Explorer)
• Adobe Flash Version 8 or above is required for
  taking CBTs
• Please test your web browser compatibility with
  E-LMS by going to https//lms.state.pa.us
• Follow the instructions on the login screen of
  E-LMS to test your web browser

Local Office Technical Requirements for CWDS

• Your office computers must be equipped with the
  following to support CWDS system requirements
• Internet Explorer version 6.0 (with service pack
  1)
• Pop-ups must be enabled
• Java script must be enabled
• Ability to accept cookies
• Additional recommendations for CWDS system
  requirements
• Do not use (or turn off) Google toolbar, Yahoo
  toolbar
• Use of Windows Vista is not suggested

Volunteer Monitors

• A webinar is planned for volunteer monitors to
  prepare for CWDS training
• Date Thursday 7/19
• Time 9am-12pm
• Webinar logistics
• Webinar will be hosted by Dan Fleagle, DLI Staff
  Development
• Conference call and Microsoft LiveMeeting
• Staff can also attend the webinar in person
• Camp Hill facility, 3rd Floor (Heinz Conference
  Room)
• Coordinators are not required to attend this
  webinar
• Over the next few weeks, CWDS instructors will be
  sending an introductory email to monitors who are
  assigned to their training facility

• Continue to register for CWDS training 5/29-7/20
  this is the last week to do so!
• This includes the Pre-work CBT and ILT courses
• All Pre-work courses must be completed by 7/20!
• Email ra-cwds-elms_at_state.pa.us with any
  registration questions or problems you may have
• The LAST training readiness webinar is scheduled
  for next Monday, 7/23 (10-11am)
• If you are not able to attend, please try to send
  a representative in your place
• Instructor-led training starts 7/30!
