The Church shapes Politics and Society
  • The clergy were very influential in medieval
    European culture and politics.
  • Religious ceremonies like baptisms and weddings
    were a key events in the peoples lives. Some
    people made pilgrimages, or journeys to religious
    locations.
  • Church officials often become political advisors
    to local rulers.

The Monks of Cluny
  • They dedicated their lives to religion with
    common rules.
  • Most monks lived apart from society, because
    those monks really did want to live close because
    of those monks had new ways of religion that are
    different from the other monks.

  • Manga Carta which was a document that meant
    Great Charter.

    their on job ands and opportunities.
