• Many Eco-Drive type watches are equipped with
  a special titanium lithium ion secondary battery
  which is charged by an silicon solar cell placed
  behind the dial which runs the watch.
• Temperature difference factor for power source
• Citizen Eco-Drive Thermo watches were
  established in 1999 and use the temperature
  difference between the wearer's arm and the
  surrounding environment as a power source.
• Hybrid Eco-Drive movements
• This watch was use both mechanical power and
  solar cell to power the electronic movement .
• It uses solar power to charge the secondary
  power cell.

Maintenance of Eco Drive Watch

• Watches like water resistant along with diving
  Eco-Drive , Citizen suggested to exchange a watch
  gasket every 1 or 2 years to maintain their
  water resistance feature.
• Because watch gaskets which make a watertight
  seal degrade as they get older.
• Citizen recommends maintenance for Eco-Drive

  to extend the life of the watch
