  • Conceptualized in Spring of 2000
  • Army stunned industry by marching to award date
    without a single delay
  • Awarded contract to PwC on December 14, 2000
  • eArmyU opened its portal doors for business on
    January 16, 2001

    fully operational on June 15, 2001

  • At midnight on Day One, soldiers lined up outside
    of education centers for the chance to be part of
  • Today, eArmyU has
  • Served as a retention tool nearly 15 of
    students have reenlisted to be eligible for
  • Reached a new population of soldier-students
  • About 60 had not ever participated in Army
    education programs previously
  • Nearly 40 are returning after a gap in
  • Become the learning mode of choice given
    options, the convenience of online learning is
    overwhelmingly preferred by soldiers

The main attraction is the chance to go to
college while serving in the Army
Soldiers believe that this is one of the best
things the Army has done for them
I think the program is great. It presents an
opportunity for me to serve my country and also

The program is designed to enable soldiers to go
to school online in the military regardless of

in Bosnia, Korea or anywhere overseas, they will
