As a single Christian that is looking to get
married, you should be very concerned with not
only what the Bible says about being single, but
also about what it says about marriage. I am a
firm believer that if more Christians would
simply study the word of God and what it says
about how a man and woman are to be married, the
divorce rate would plummet.

It is not to say that all of a sudden divorces
would cease to exist. It is just that as single
Christians, you have an opportunity to know what
Jesus expects before you agree to enter into
matrimony with someone else. If it is your
desire to be married then may I suggest that you
study Ephesians?

unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

This is only the first part of it. I highly
suggest that you study the rest of the chapter.
There are many other scriptures specific to
marriage. Study them as a single Christian so
that you will be better prepared if you do become
married. If you have a significant other, study
both together and separately. Know what the Bible
has to say about marriage and not the world.
Find your answers in the word. Allow the
scriptures to speak to your through the power of
the Holy Spirit.

Remember that God is the creator of marriage and
for you to turn to anywhere else on what to do
for your marriage is a gamble. It is not to say
that you cant turn to other resources, but just
make sure that you keep God as the head of
marriage at all times.
