Laura Guttridge Is Against The Use Of Animals For

• A former swimsuit model, Laura Guttridge has
  received her Bachelors degree in Philosophy from
  the University of Central Florida. She is a
  lifelong animal activist who has been working for
  the protection of animals since her young age.
  She was honored by The Humane Society of Vero
  Beach, Indian River County and many other
  organizations.

• She received the 2007 Humanitarian of the Year
  Award for her dedicated to the protection of
  animals. Moreover, she actively participates in
  protests against hunting, animal
  experimentation, and other such causes. Laura
  Guttridge raises her voice to spread awareness
  about the ill-treatment of animals.

• She protests against the usage of animals in the
  circus and other commercial purposes. She is
  passionate about saving animals from cruel, and
  inhumane people. Laura was the co/founder and
  past president of Marion County Voices for
  Animals, an organization that was established by
  her for protecting animals.

• She carried out many protests against hunting in
  the Ocala National Forest and because of her
  efforts encouraged the Ocala Animal Shelter to
  discontinue the use of the archaic decompression
  chamber, to euthanize animals. Now because of
  her efforts the more humane lethal injection is
  used. Laura also worked closely with The San
  Diego Animal Advocates.

• She was arrested several times for participating
  in protests but never stepped back in promoting
  the wellbeing of animals. Laura Guttridge follows
  a vegetarian lifestyle and she promotes it
  through PETAs Vegetarian Starter Kit. Besides,
  she and other activist dress as lettuce ladies
  at events to encourage a veg lifestyle. She
  participated as a lettuce lady at the 20th
  anniversary gala for the Animal Rights Foundation
  of Florida.

• This event was organized in March 2009 and
  attended by Bob Barker in Fort Lauderdale. In
  2010 Laura co/chaired a fundraising event for
  Save the Chimps, in which she raised thousands of
  dollars for the organization. Laura Guttridge is
  a children's book author who wrote a book called
  Gypsy the Christmas Cat. Based on a real-life cat
  (Gypsy), this book was written by her to induce
  trust, compassion and patience in children.

• Besides, this book teaches children about various
  human qualities like affection, unconditional
  love, kindness, etc. Laura Guttridge has been
  working for a well-liked TV talk show Dr.
  Josefina's Way that is formerly known as
  Empowerment. This show is moved online and the
  viewers can watch it at www.healthypowertv.com.
  Besides Empowerment, Laura Guttridge also worked
  for other popular TV shows namely "Renegade",
  Silk Stalkings, Inside Edition", and "Current
  Affair.
