• My paper talks about how Information Technology
  can help improve sports. It helps create better
  franchises as well as the game itself. New
  technologies make the game faster and more
  accurate. Also, by using the internet, the game
  has become more interactive for the fans. All
  this new technology ties into the business side
  of sports giving the sports teams a bigger
  profit.

• IT can help teams perform better. It can help
  teams keep track of how well they are doing.
  Programs like Sabermetrics help teams record
  player stats. Not only does this program record
  traditional stats like batting averages, but can
  make future potential stats available. This helps
  coaches find players that can be good in the
  future. It can help franchises with cost-benefit
  ratios because you can determine athletes
  salaries by looking at their stats. Everything
  done on the field is recorded in Sabermetrics
  so players arent going to slack and in turn,
  create a better overall team. Teams with this
  technology can earn more profit and produce a
  better team.

• The development of LED lights make the game more
  enjoyable because they create good scoreboard
  displays. They are also used in marketing on
  billboard signs to promote products or teams.
• LED lights are tiny lights that dont burn out or
  heat up. They are currently found on digital
  watches, road signs, and are the lights that
  transmit information from remote controls. They
  are starting to use LED lights on tail lights and
  turn signals of cars.

• Smart Technology has helped out coaches very
  much. They can keep track of their players
  performance much better. They also use smart
  boards that allow you to watch video on a screen
  and write on it using a marker that is controlled
  by sensors to display what need to be in the
  play.
• Broadcasters also use this to show the audience
  what is going on in the play and what couldve
  happened. They use it to point out things that
  not all people will notice in a normal replay.

• To make their school more technologically
  advanced then their competing schools. If
  Quinnipiac offers a more advanced IT program then
  other schools, they will increase their
  popularity and will have a more respected
  business school. They should teach their students
  all the programs necessary for the business
  environment they are going to enter because they
  can add this experience to their resumes to get
  better jobs.

• Another goal should be to make their classes more
  interactive. This can help students train for the
  real business world. Simulations like Mikes
  Bikes helps students learn how to react to
  different situations in business. This can be fun
  to do and makes students want to compete with
  each other. We can also improve on developing the
  trading room. Thatd be a cool way to let
  students learn and will attract more students.

  people can pretend they are really in the game.
  This can get kids into sports and make them want

  development of Ebay, people can buy team
  souvenirs. Also, teams can create their own
  websites to give updates on player stats, game
  schedules, and sell products.

• Computer Information Technology is going to be
  the future of business. Everything is done
  through computers now. With technology furthering
  itself all the time, transaction and
  communication are going to keep getting faster.
  The faster information is spread, the more
  decisions can be made to benefit a company.
  Computers are also good for storing information
  and inventory. Sports franchises, just like any
  other business, need to stay updated with IT to
  stay ahead of the game.
