What you need to know!

Arrival/Dismissal

• Please be on time
• If you leave the class longer than ten minutes,
  you will be counted absent that period.

If you are later than 5 minutes, you need to
clear yourself through the attendance office
unless you have a teacher note-

Cell phones and mp3 players

• During lecture time these devices are strictly
  prohibited- if they are out during lecture time,
  you will lose participation points. During work
  time, mp3s are fine, cell phone texting is not
  allowed-

The Classroom

• Please keep it clean
• Recycle
• If you move it put it back
• 6th Period-put chairs on top of desks at the end
  of the period

Tests/Quizzes (Geo PC)

• One quiz/chapter
• One test/chapter
• Make-ups
• Trigonometry
• You may drop one test/quiz score
• NO RE-TAKES

Worth 20 of total grade
Worth 45 of total grade
Must be done with-in 1 week of absence
Quests every other Friday Worth 65 of total
grade
If all the homework is done for that Chapter (no
zeros)

Make-up tests/quizzes

• Must be completed within one week of absence. If
  they are made up beyond that, they will not be
  eligible as a possible drop score. They will also
  be different than what everyone took the day of
  the test/quiz.

Getting at least a C

• If you get lower than a 70 on any test or quiz,
  you can make corrections on that test/quiz to get
  the score to a 70. However, if you need to do
  this more than twice, your grade will be no
  greater than a C. This is to be done before
  school,lunch or after school within one week of
  the test/quiz being corrected.

• No make-ups unless good reason
• You grade your own
• Usually given time in class to work on it
• Always show your work

Participation Time The time in class after a
lecture

• Worth 5 of total grade
• If homework is assigned, you must work on it
  during class
• You need to study something else when you finish
• Extra credit for showing problems in class
  (1/problem added to participation grade)

• Worth 20 of final grade
• It is NOT a test that can be dropped
• Only on topics covered THAT semester

• You can get the notes online if you miss class-
• No head phones or cell phones should be out at
  this time

Bathroom Breaks

• Go BEFORE CLASS starts
• Emergency bathroom breaks ok, but should be rare.

Projects

• Geometry classes will be doing at least one
  project/semester and it will be worth 5 of your
  total grade.

Extra Credit

• Never the last 2 weeks of the semester
• Called Insurance, you can get extra credit for
  doing problems on the tablet for the class to see.

You can not get insurance AFTER you wreck the
car!!
