• Seventeen people, mostly Arab descent, including
  four children, died in the suicide attack against
  a housing compound in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on
  Saturday night. Al-Qaeda terrorists are engaged
  in an all-out attempt to topple the Saudi
  monarchy, a senior US official said yesterday as
  intelligence chiefs said more attacks on the
  Kingdom were imminent.

• Al-Qaeda view the Saudi monarchy as pro American
  and therefore a primary target for attacks to try
  to destabilise the kingdom, remove the monarchy
  and replace it with an anti US state. It is
  doubtful whether this will be achieved as we
  believe that the US / UK will still be based in
  this area when the final war on Israel occurs.

• Italy was in shock and grief yesterday after the
  deadliest attack on its military since the Second
  World War. The loss of life looked likely to
  boost opposition to the already controversial
  Iraq deployment.
• American warplanes bombed suspected Iraqi
  guerrilla hideouts in their first air attack
  since President Bush declared major combat over
  in May following deaths of 27 troops in the past
  week. As a senior US official said the situation
  inside Iraq was now pretty close to war.

• It is evident that the nations are perplexed.
  Confused. There is no exit strategy in place.

• Iran has systematically lied about its nuclear
  programme for 18 years, seeking to hide the
  development of key techniques needed to make
  fissile material for nuclear weapons, according
  to a report by the United Nations watchdog.
• America will view it as evidence that Tehran is
  aggressively seeking an atomic bomb while
  Europeans will see it as proof that their
  diplomatic pressure has forced Iran to come
  clean. The US wants Iran to be formally declared
  in non compliance.

• Again we see Iran coming under pressure from the
  US but with European countries taking a more
  conciliatory tone. Iran will be one of the
  countries that invade Israel (with Russia and
  Europe) with US/UK based in Saudi peninsula in
  opposition.

Synagogues Bombed in Turkey

• Bombers kill 20 in attacks on synagogues
• Headline Sunday Telegraph 16 Nov
• Event
• Rubble, debris, glass and human remains littered
  the centre of Istanbul yesterday after two car
  bombs exploded outside synagogues during Sabbath
  prayers, killing at least 20 people. An Al-Qaeda
  group claimed responsibility and gave warning of
  more attacks around the world.
• Comment
• The growing attacks against the Jews and the rise
  of anti Semitism though expected from Bible
  prophecy is still alarming to watch. Salai
  Meridor, chairman of the Jewish agency, which
  promotes global Jewish partnership, said The
  entire Jewish people are under anti Semitic
  attack, anti Israeli attack and a wave of
  terrorism Turkey is a pro US, pro Jewish
  Islamist state and therefore a target for
  fundamentalists.

Britons Bombed In Turkey

• Britons in al-Qaeda carnage

• At least 27 people, including a senior British
  diplomat, were killed yesterday and hundreds
  injured when two suspected al-Qaeda suicide
  bombers attacked the British consulate and the
  headquarters of HSBC bank in Istanbul. The
  explosions may have been timed to coincide with
  President Bushs state visit to Britain.
• Comment
• This is the first attack by Al-Qaeda against a
  British target. The HSBC bank is also a London
  based bank and therefore a British target. In
  some ways it is surprising Britons have not been
  targeted before. This bombing comes days after
  the synagogue bombings. The inference could not
  be clearer. This war is against the Jews and
  all their supporters.

  days just before the flood. The earth is indeed
  filled with violence.

• Met chief warns of attack on London as embassy
  defences are strengthened. Jack Straw the Foreign
  Secretary warned that everywhere is a target,
  officials said more attacks at home or abroad
  were expected. Sir John Stevens, the Metropolitan
  Police Commissioner, expressed alarm about an
  imminent attack in London and said his officers
  were on maximum alert.
• Comment
• We surely now more than any other time in history
  live in an age of terror and fear. This terrorism
  has yet to reach our shores but according to the
  report above it is only a matter of time. Daniel
  (and Jesus) warned of a time of trouble such as
  never was coming on this earth.

Bombers Strike Moscow

• Suspected Chechen suicide bombers brought their
  terror campaign to the heart of Moscow yesterday,
  killing five people only 200 yards from the walls
  of the Kremlin. The attack came two days after
  President Putins party won a sweeping victory on
  parliamentary elections, campaigning on a
  platform of increased law and order and a promise
  to defeat Chechen rebels.
• Comment
• About 300 Russians have been killed this year in
  terrorist attacks. The suicide bombers were
  women. In July 2 women blew themselves up at a
  rock festival in Moscow. We live in an horrific
  world where even women are prepared to become
  suicide bombers killing and injuring many people.

Suicide bomber in Israel

• Suicide bomber kills three at Tel Aviv bus stop

• Event
• At least 3 people were killed and more than a
  dozen injured last night when a Palestinian
  suicide bomber struck at a bus stop outside Tel
  Aviv. It was the first successful suicide attack
  for nearly 3 months as Israeli Defence Forces
  carried out a targeting killing of 5 Palestinian
  terrorist suspects, firing a missile in the Gaza
  strip.
• Comment
• The violence in Israel appears to escalating
  again. Nine Palestinians were killed on 23rd as
  Israeli tanks swept into the Gaza Strip. The
  intifada launched by Arafat in September 2000
  continues. We should not forget that it is this
  war that sparked 9/11, the Afghanistan and Iraq
  wars and the age of terror we now live in. It
  will eventually drag all nations to war - to
  Jerusalem.

Assassination Attempt

• 15 killed but bombs miss Musharraf

• Event
• President Pervaiz Musharraf narrowly survived a
  second assassination attempt in under a fortnight
  yesterday when 2 suicide bombers drove cars
  packed with explosives into his motorcade. At
  least 15 people were killed and almost 50 injured
  in the attack. Senior officials said they feared
  there was a major conspiracy which could involve
  extremist Pakistani Islamic groups and elements
  of al-Qaeda. It is likely a major summit with
  Indian officials due to begin on Jan3 in
  Islamabad will be called off.
• Comment
• And so the Pakistan leader survives again. He is
  paying the price for supporting the US over
  Afghanistan. Jesus tells us before he returns
  men's hearts will be failing the for fear.
  Another word for terror is fear. The use of
  terrorism therefore is the use of fear. Though
  Musharraf was not killed he will probably cancel
  the summit with India because of security fears.
  The terrorist wins. Only the return of of Lord
  will stop this age of terror we all now live in.

• Security chiefs ordered the cancellation of a
  British Airways flight to Washington for the
  second day yesterday because of fears of a
  terrorist plot to stage another September 11
  style attack. The UK Air Users Council said
  There is a distinct possibility that this is a
  sign of things to come.
• Comment
• No attack but the FEAR of an attack. A sign of
  things to come. We believe it is. It will only
  worsen. Jesus tells us that mens hearts will
  fail them for fear as they look at what is
  happening in the earth. We live in the age of
  terror / fear. We need to remember these things
  were predicted so that we should not fear but
  look up, for our redemption draws near.

Fight USA Bin Laden

• Fight US, says bin Laden tape

• Event
• The Arabic television station Al-Jazeera aired a
  purported audio tape yesterday from Osama bin
  Laden, the leader of al-Qaeda, in which the
  terrorist urged Muslims to fight against
  Americas occupation in Iraq. It criticised Gulf
  Arab governments for supporting Americas
  invasion, saying that the fight against US forces
  should be with arms not dialogue.
• Comment
• This thorn in Americas side is still goading the
  US and encouraging the continued war against the
  US. It is my belief that the war we are now in
  this fight which ultimately is centred on
  Jerusalem will not end now and will only escalate
  until the Lord returns. We have entered the time
  of fear / terror. And though there may be battles
  won eg Iraq, the war will not be, and the
  intervention of Jesus will be needed.

• Exclusive interview. President Assad of Syria
  talks to Benedict Brogan in Damascus. Syria is
  entitled to defend itself by acquiring a chemical
  and biological deterrent, President Assad said
  last night as he rejected US and British demands
  for concessions on weapons of mass destruction.
  Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, he said that any
  deal to destroy Syrias chemical and biological
  capability would come about only if Israel agreed
  to abandon its undeclared nuclear arsenal.
• Comment
• The next day in the DT was an article that said
  the US and UK had rebuffed Assads statement
  telling him bluntly he had to give up his WMD
  even if Israel kept its nuclear arms. A senior
  government source said Israel is in a unique
  position as the only state whose very existence
  is threatened. God has used Syria in the past
  to punish Israel but there is no mention of Syria
  in Ezekiel 38. Perhaps Syria has already been
  defeated when all the other nations converge on
  Israel? One thing is certain the hatred between
  these 2 peoples is as strong as ever it was.

• Sweeping powers are to be conferred upon
  ministers to tackle major emergencies, including
  terrorist attacks, under new legislation
  published yesterday. The Civil Contingency Bill
  intended to update laws dating back more than 80
  years continued to cause major concern among
  freedom campaigners last night despite the
  inclusion of additional safeguards.
• Comment
• The fear of terrorist attacks is beginning to
  effect our daily lives and the freedoms we have
  enjoyed for many years. If there ever is a
  terrorist attack imagine what may be introduced
  then. We do live in perilous times as Paul said
  we would. The word perilous is used twice in
  the NT. The other time it is translated fierce.
  It means literally means hard to bear, troublous,
  dangerous or savage. These are the days we live
  in.

9 US soldiers killed

• Event
• Nine American soldiers were killed yesterday when
  their helicopter crashed near Fallujah, a town
  at the heart of anti-coalition insurgency where
  rebels have made a specialty of shooting down
  aircraft. Earlier, a military transport plane
  taking off from Baghdad airport with 63 people on
  board was forced to turn around and make an
  emergency landing when it was hit by a surface to
  air missile.
• Comment
• We may have won the battle but the war continues
  in Iraq. It is my opinion that Isaiah 13 is
  talking about these events we are witnessing as
  nations from afar have come to the ancient area
  of Babylon. These very events lead to the day of
  Lord coming. Why? Because it is this invasion
  that has led to the incredible tensions and
  lining up of the nations against each other.

• Event
• A huge suicide bomb exploded outside coalition
  headquarters in central Baghdad yesterday killing
  at least 20 people, including two American
  civilian contractors.
• At least 110 people were wounded as 1,000lb of
  explosive went off in a pick-up truck outside
  Assassin's Gate, the heavily fortified entrance
  to one of Saddam Hussein's palaces. It was the
  deadliest attack since 28 people died in a
  suicide bombing at an Italian base two months ago
  and coincides with attempts by the United States,
  in talks in New York today, to persuade the
  United Nations to return to Iraq.

• Time magazine recently had a front page which
  said Peace is Hell referring to the so called
  peace created by the US and UK in Iraq. There
  will be no true peace until our Lord returns. In
  the mean time we live in this age of terror.

• At least 10 people have been killed in a suicide
  bomb attack on a bus in west Jerusalem, along
  with the bomber. Dozens were also injured in the
  blast which was detonated not far from Prime
  Minister Ariel Sharon's residence.
• American efforts to revive the flailing peace
  process were derailed by Thursday's bus bombing
  in Jerusalem. Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's
  response was to cancel the scheduled talks with
  the Palestinian Authority and the US.

• Pakistan, a so called ally in the US fight
  against terror has all along been a country
  selling its nuclear secrets to the very countries
  labelled by President Bush as the Axis of Evil!
  We are living at a time when the world is arming

  that these nuclear weapons will be used.

• Chechen separatists were blamed yesterday for a
  bomb explosion that tore through a packed
  rush-hour carriage on Moscow's underground metro,
  killing at least 39 people. Rescuers last night
  were still sifting through the carnage that blew
  bodies and limbs hundreds of yards. The attack
  was the worst ever on Moscow's famed metro
  system.
• Comment
• Russia still has a huge army in Chechnya. Putin
  has vowed to eliminate this terrorism that he
  says emanates from this area. It is probable in
  my opinion that this is where the Russian forces
  will descend from as it is the direct route down
  to Israel. It is interesting that a new fault
  line politically has developed between the US and
  Russia over Georgia. BBC online says that Russia
  is annoyed with US presence there. Bush last week
  called for Russia to remove is military from
  Georgia. However terror in Moscow will force
  Putin to keep his troops in the region. Have a

• A suicide car bomb killed 47 Iraqis at an army
  recruitment base in Baghdad yesterday, as
  extremists intensified their campaign to destroy
  the embryonic Iraqi government waiting to take
  power from America and Britain in June.
• It was the second devastating blast in 24 hours,
  bringing the number of people killed to at least
  100 - all of them Iraqis. US commanders said the
  explosions were part of a campaign to sow chaos
  and stir up a civil war.

• Iraqis blamed the US for the bomb attacks. We see
  terror and turmoil every week. I still believe we
  are seeing a latter day fulfilment of Isaiah 13.
  Nations from afar have come to the ancient area
  of Babylon and the land is being destroyed.

Bloodbath in Iraq

• Events
• A wave of explosions at two Shiite shrines in
  Iraq yesterday killed at least 180 pilgrims and
  wounded hundreds more in an attack to whip up
  religious hatred and provoke civil war. The
  co-ordinated bombings, on the holiest date in the
  Shiite Muslim calendar, led to the bloodiest day
  in Iraq since the overthrow of Saddam Hussein
  last April.

• Another headline read Pure terrorism in its
  blackest form. We now know over 280 people were
  killed that day.America was duly blamed for not
  protecting innocent Iraqis but these bombers were
  in all probability fellow Arabs and fellow
  Muslims. The Bible long ago foretold these

• We now live in this age of terror how long
  before we too are affected. We know that the time
  of trouble such as never was will effect all who
  live on the face of the earth. Let us pray we are

Massacre in Madrid

• A series of simultaneous bomb explosions tore
  through four packed Spanish
  commuter trains at the height of the morning
  rush-hour yesterday, leaving at
  least 190 people dead in one of Europe's worst
  terrorist atrocities.
• The Spanish government immediately accused the
  Basque terrorist group Eta but last night a claim
  of responsibility was made in the name of
  al-Qa'eda.
• Comment
• These events surely leave us wondering how long
  O Lord. Terrorism continues to sink to new
  depths of atrocity. Jesus warned of this time
  when men's hearts would fail them for fear. The
  word terror, in my dictionary says a state of
  intense fear. Terrorism is the systematic use
  of terror (fear) as a means of coercion. Surely
  this age of fear is upon us. There is worst still
  to come.

Islamic link - Why Spain?

• A van containing seven detonators and an Arabic
  tape of Koranic verse was found in a Madrid
  suburb last night, raising the possibility that
  al-Qa'eda was behind the bomb attacks. Osama bin
  Laden threatened Spain with attack last year
  because it helped the Anglo-American occupation
  of Iraq.
• Bin Laden gave warning that Spain would be
  singled out for attack in a taped message
  released last October through al-Jezeera, the
  Arab satellite channel. He vowed that Spain would
  be among six nations considered "special" targets
  for its role in the Iraq war.
• Comment
• It was interesting at the time that Spain decided
  to send armed forces to Iraq and join Britain and
  America in the Iraq war. We identify Britain with
  Tarshish because of the trading the Phoenicians
  did with Tarshish (see Ezekiel 27.) There was a
  clear link between the the Phoenicians and Spain
  as well. They setup up trading posts there and
  used it as a stepping stone to trade with
  Britain. Perhaps Britain is next in Bin Ladens
  list of nations to attack?

• More than eight million people took to the
  streets throughout Spain last night in a furious
  protest against the terrorist bombings that
  killed 199 people in Madrid on Thursday.
• It was the biggest mass protest ever seen in
  Spain.
• The pavements of Madrid shone under the street
  lights as rain poured down on to a sea of
  umbrellas in a vast emotional scene of grief,
  anger and defiance.

• Jesus told us to watch for distress of nations.
  The sea and waves roaring. As we know the sea
  and waves are symbolic of people. This comes at
  a time of fear in the earth. We must be watching
  these very things happen before our eyes. Because
  of distress and fear, 8 million people take to
  the streets. The Daily Telegraph calls it a sea
  of umbrellas in a vast emotional scene of grief

• This appears to be the first time that the

  the intifada continues and escalates. Sharon

• The Daily Telegraph reported that these gunmen

• Chillingly precise intelligence indicates that

• The same intelligence - the most telling evidence
  of an al-Qa'eda plot since the September 11
  attacks - also spoke of threats to unspecified
  targets in Britain.

• Since this headline early this week it has
  emerged that much of the info found was years
  old. The Democrats in the US have accused the
  Republicans of using this info for political
  purposes. Whether this is the case or not one
  thing is certain. It has the effect of increasing
  the fear factor in the world as a whole. It
  becomes more apparent that the nations of the
  world will never conquer terror. There is little
  they can do to stop a concerted attack where
  people are happy to die in suicide missions.

• Which war is this? many commentators ask
  Israeli politicians when asked about the reasons
  for the bombings in Sinai. The reply is that
  these bombings are to do with the fight against
  the West. Not to do with the Palestinian /
  Israeli problem. It is Al qe-eda trying to bring
  down the western democracys.
• The question is misleading and the answer not
  true. It may well be Al-queda that perpetrated
  these horrors but the war is ONE war.
• It is the war between Israel and it allies versus
  the Palestinians and their allies.
• As Tony Blair put it in July 2003 I want to be
  very plain. Terrorism will not be defeated
  without peace in the Middle East between Israel
  and Palestine.
• This is what the war is about. Israel and
  Palestine.
• The talks collapsed over Jerusalem in July 2000
  and from that time on we have witnessed a
  conflict which is sucking more and more nations

• 9/11 was all about this conflict. Osama Bin Laden
  made clear that was Americas backing for Israel
  that had bought about the attacks. Iraq was
  attacked because of its perceived threat to
  Israel and therefore the stability of the region.
  Eventually Israel WILL be the very centre of the
  war physically.
• It is interesting that we see an exodus from
  Sinai with 25,000 Israelis heading back to
  Israel. God is gathering them into their land
  ready for his judgements to be poured out.

• Two Russian airliners carrying 89 passengers and
  crew have crashed within minutes of each other
  after flying out of the same Moscow airport.
  Witnesses at one scene said they heard a plane
  roaring overhead followed by "an explosion like
  thunder".

  state security services, the FSB, to launch an
  investigation.

• And so it appears that for the first time since
  September 11th 2001, Muslim extremists have
  destroyed 2 planes killing many people. As one
  headline put it Is the lucky streak over for
  worlds worried airlines? The age of terror /
  fear has not gone away and we know it is only
  time before other terrible atrocities happen. We
  know from Matthew 24 that it will eventually get
  so bad that if there was not an intervention by
  our Lord Jesus that there should NO flesh be
  saved. However there will be an intervention
  he shall return. And these things mean our
  redemption draws nearer.

• Russian officials investigating the crashes of
  two passenger planes have discovered the remains
  of two Chechen women thought to be "Black Widows"
  - suicide bombers given that name because many
  have lost husbands in the war with Russia.
• Officials have also found traces of explosive in
  the wreckage of at least one of the planes, all
  but confirming the theory that the jets, which
  crashed on Tuesday night killing 90, were
  destroyed by terrorist attacks.
• Comment
• For nearly 10 years, Russia has been engaged in a
  brutal military conflict in Chechnya. There was a
  lull in actual fighting after the Russian army
  was chased out, in June 1996. Since September
  1999 Mr Putin has made it clear that he wants to
  bring an end to the conflict - but one which
  leaves no one in any doubt that Chechnya is part
  of the Russian Federation.
• The area of Chechnya is significant. It is quite
  possibly the area where the Magogites (known as
  the Scythians) lived. These people lived around
  the shores of the Black Sea. The Bible makes
  clear that Gog (Russia) will be of this area
  (Magog) when it descends on Israel. This
  terrorist attack may well increase Russias
  presence in that area.

Russian school massacre (1)

• Russia's hostage crisis ended in a bloodbath
  yesterday, as semi-naked children fled in terror
  from a school where Chechen terrorists strapped
  with bombs had held them for three days.
• At least 200 people died in the final battle,
  which began when explosions rocked the school,
  bringing down the roof of the gymnasium. As some
  of the captive children and parents fled for
  their lives, the kidnappers tried to shoot them
  in the back.
• The Russian security forces, backed by local
  people carrying assorted weapons, immediately
  moved in to retake the school, where an estimated
  1,200 people had been held.
• Officials said the number of victims could rise
  significantly. The bodies of at least 20 children
  were seen at a morgue near School No 1 in Beslan,
  close to the republic of North Ossetia's border
  with strife-torn Chechnya.
• Up to 650 people were in hospital, about half of
  them children.
• Last week, 89 people died when two aircraft were
  destroyed in what the authorities say were
  suicide bomb attacks by Chechen militants.

• The utter horror of what has happened makes us
  wonder how long it can be before our Lord returns
  to intervene in this wicked world.
• On the one hand we know that a time of trouble
  such as never was is coming on the earth. And as
  we see children massacred in this way we know
  that the time of trouble is upon us and will only
  get worse. As we see these things we know our
  Lords coming must be near.
• But on the other hand we are terribly distressed
  by these things and wonder how men and women
  could possibly kill children in this way.
• It may make us not want to watch anymore. To
  try to shut out the world and take no interest in
  events that are happening. We must not let this
  happen.
• We must never forget that God is in control. His
  plan is working out.
• In relation to this terrible atrocity I think we
  can say this.
• The Lord Jesus said the world would be like the
  days just prior to the flood.That it is it would
  be full of violence. So Jesus foresaw the very
  events we are witnessing.
• The consequences of these terrorist attacks over
  the last week may well make Russia send more
  troops into Chechnya (area of Magog) which again
  we might expect.
• God is against Russia. They are a barbaric people
  as one Russian newspaper put it in this
  country people are treated like cattle. They
  will come down to Israel.

  order than the terrible conflict between the
  Israelis and Palestinians," Britain's Foreign
  Secretary Jack Straw said in a speech to the
  governing Labor Party's annual conference on
  Thursday .
• Straw called on the Israeli government to stop
  targeted killings of Palestinian terrorists, and
  insisted the Palestinian Authority must rein in
  terrorist groups.

• There is no greater challenge to international
  order. Tony Blair said similar words during the
  week saying that terrorism will not be defeated
  until the Israel / Palestine problem has been
  solved. We would agree entirely. But we also know
  that it will not be solved until our Lord Jesus
  returns. Until then this conflict will continue
  to grow and suck in more and more nations until
  all nations are gathered to Jerusalem to
  battle. Many in the world I speak to say, Why
  would all nations come to Jerusalem to battle?
