Sporting Dogs

• Sporting dogs are usually more alert than other
  dogs.They are used in hunting,woodsman,and
  occasionally swimming.They have great instincts
  in the woods and water.They are great usually
  great,well-rounded canine companians.

Golden Retrievers

• Golden Retrievers are great trustworthy,friendly,a
  nd reliable.They can be very protective towards
  other people or pets but are great behaving
  dogs.They are very strong and muscular and also
  need a lot of excercise. They have a beautiful
  colored coat usually different shades of
  gold.They can have very sharp teeth and have a
  strong skulled muzzle.Male Goldens are 23-24
  inches in height and females are 21-22 inches in
  height.Male Goldens weight 65-75 while females
  weight only 55-65 pounds.That is basic info on
  this breed of dog.

Irish Setters

• Irish Setters are also a breed of sporting
  dog.Irish Setters are usually not shy or hostile
  dogs.There usually outgoing dogs with a loving
  personality.They are also fairly muscular
  dogs.They have a fairly thick neck but its not
  very strong.They have a short,red coat,usually
  mahogany ,with a little white on the chest.Male
  Setters are usually about 27 inches in height and
  weight about 70 pounds while females are about 25
  inches in height and weight about 60.Irish
  Setters are a very good of dog to add to your
  family.This dog is also a great companion,like
  most sporting dogs.

Pointers

• Pointers are also another type of sporting
  dog.Pointers are not usually to big in size.Males
  are usually only 55-75 pounds and are only 25-28
  inches while females are only 44-65 pounds and
  are 23-26 inches.They are called pointers because
  when they get a certain scent they go into a
  peculiar pointing motion.They have
  long,oval-shaped feet and are well-padded.They
  have a short,dense coat that is usually very
  smooth.There coat color is usually a lemon,black
  or orange color.They are very muscular dogs and
  have powerful hindquarters.Pointers,like golden
  retrievers,are fairly good hunting dogs.They are
  also excellent companions,as many dogs are.That
  is pretty much all the basic information on
  pointers.

Hound Dogs

• Hound dogs get there hunting style from there
  ancestral trait.A lot of hounds,like many other
  dogs come from different countries.Some hounds
  show an amazing trait different from other
  hounds.Here are a few slides on some different
  hounds.

Dachshund

• Dachshunds are probably the smallest hounds in
  the hound group. There are many types of
  dachshunds, according to size and types of coat.
  The two in size is standard and miniature. The
  standard size dachshund are put in age, not male
  or female. They are 11 inches under the age of 12
  months and weight in between 16 pounds and 32
  pounds. But they are still very strong for size.
  Dachshunds are usually clever and courageous.
  They DEFINATLY are not shy dogs. Like I said
  there are many types of dachshunds according to
  their coat. One of them is the smooth-haired
  Dachshund. Smooth-haired Dachshunds have a short,
  shiny coat. There ears should not be leathery.
  They can be a reddish color or a blackish,
  usually with black toes and nails. Wire-haired
  Dachshunds are very different from smooth-haired
  Dachshunds. Wire-haired Dachshunds are just as
  there name states.They have short,thick outer
  coats but have a softer undercoat.They usually
  have bushy eyebrows and a,sort of
  comical,beard.Now long-haired Dachshunds are a
  different story.They are a lot like the
  smooth-haired Dachshund,but have much longer
  coat.They come in pretty much the same colors as
  the smooth-haired Dachshund.That basically sums
  up the information on Dachshund.

Beagles

• Beagles are another type of hound dog Im going
  to talk about.Beagles are,like most hounds
  excellent hunting dogs.They resemble the
  Miniature Foxhound,except their size.Beagles are
  just a little bit bigger than the Miniature
  Foxhound.Beagles have a short,thin coat and is
  fairly soft.They have a long,slightly domed
  cranium.There ears and fairly long.They usually
  have brown or hazel eyes.They have a moderately
  high tail with a slightly curved tail.They can be
  any color a hound can be and can be in between
  13-15 inches in height.That pretty much sums up
  the basic information on beagles.

Basset Hounds

• Basset Hounds are not resembled to the
  beagles.Its more like a mix between a Dachshund
  and a Miniature Foxhound.Basset Hounds are also
  fairly good hunting dogs.Basset Hounds have a
  larger-sized head than other types of dogs.They
  have a domed skull with a dark,black nose.They
  have a good-sized neck with a good length.They
  have soft,sad eyes with a sorrowful
  expression.Despite their appearance,they are
  loving dogs.Like the beagle,he has a curved
  tail,but the Bassets runs right down his spine.
  They also are colored like the beagle,any
  acceptable hound color.that is most of the
  information I have on Basset Hounds.

Toy Dogs

• Toy dogs are a whole other type of dog.Toys are
  usually smaller then other types of dogs.This
  group consists of dogs who are usually very
  pampered and love attention.

Chihuahua

• Chihuahuas are the smallest breed of toy
  dogs.Chihuahuas have two different types of
  coatssmooth-haired and long-haired.They should
  not exceed the weight of 6 pounds.They are very
  graceful and alert,and,in my opinion,would be a
  sporting dog if not for its size.They have
  saucy,sarcastic eyes,like many toy dogs.A
  smooth-haired Chihuahua should have a soft
  coat,close and glossy.Long-haired Chihuahua also
  should have a soft textured coat but has the
  choice of having a flat or curly coat.That is
  basically all I have to say about Chihuahua.

Yorkshire Terrier

• Yorkshire Terriers,also known as Yorkies,are not
  really Terriers but are still toy dogs.Yorkies
  are very long-haired dogs and have a bluish-
  tanish fur color.Their fur is long and
  glossy.Their tail is very short and I call it
  stub.They have a small,flat head,and and a dark
  black nose.They have medium-sized eyes with an
  intellectual expression.Yorkies, like I said,are
  fairly small dogs and should not exceed 7 pounds
  in weight.That should sum up what I know about
  Yorkshire Terriers.

Cavalier K.C. Spaniels

• This is going to be my final slide about this
  group of dogs.The Cavalier K.C. Spaniel is,like
  all the dogs in this group,fairly small but is
  one of biggest toy dogs.They are 12-13 inches in
  height and weight between 13-18 pounds.They are
  very gleeful dogs and are not shy in any
  way.Cavalier K.C. Spaniels usually have chestnut
  colored ears with a white coat and other little
  chestnut splotches.They also have two other
  different types of colorTricolor and ruby.Ruby
  is basically just what it statesa dark,rich
  red.Tricolor is a different story.Jet-black on a
  tan and white background fur.They have a soft
  silky coat.That is basic information on Cavalier
  K.C. Spaniels.

• I have many favorite dogs but my absolute
  favorite is the Golden Retriever,which you
  probably got enough information on.I really
  recommend getting any dog and really believe they
  are great to have and are just an all-around
