Peter Spier Rochester is the President of ISACA
Western New York Chapter, a non-profit
organization and Rochester and Buffalo area
chapter of ISACA. ISACA is a leading global
organization for information governance, control,
security and audit professionals. The IS auditing
and IS control standards set by this organization
are followed by practitioners across the globe.

ISACA has over 86,000 members who reside and work
in 160 countries and are talented IT
professionals including IS auditor, consultant,
educator, IS security professional, regulator,
chief information officer and internal auditor.

The organization aims at supporting the
objectives of an enterprise through the
development, provision and promotion of research,
standards, competencies and practices in order to
ensure effective governance, control and
assurance of information, systems and technology.
Besides serving ISACA as its President, Peter
Spier is presently working as a Manager
Professional Services at Fortrex Technologies, a
Frederick, Maryland based company.

Since its inception in 1997, this firm has been a
leader in delivering IT Security, Operational
Risk and Compliance solutions to over 1,000
customers in various industry sectors. Peter
Spier Rochester graduated from Syracuse
University's School of Information Studies.

With over 12 years of professional experience, he
has earned Certified Information Systems Security
Professional (CISSP), Certified in Risk and
Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified
Information Security Manager (CISM), Project
Management Professional (PMP) and Qualified
Security Assessor (QSA). He has also received
Information Technology Infrastructure Library
(ITIL) Foundation version 3, and HITRUST CSF
Assessor certifications among other credentials.
