  • Long pants or jeans
  • Old, closed-toe shoes (No sandals, flip flops or
    high heel shoes)

  • Hat or sunscreen (Opt.)
  • Raincoat or poncho (if rainy)

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
  • Sack lunch and drink
  • Water bottle (when weather is hot)
  • Long sleeve shirt (optional protection from
    mosquito bites)
  • Extra pair of shoes to change into if the trails
    are muddy (optional)

  • TRAILS
  • Stay on the path
  • Do not pick up or touch anything without
    permission
  • Watch out for poison ivy fire ant mounds
  • Listen to your guide

  • Do not touch or insert fingers in the cages
  • Walk do not run
  • Use quiet voices
  • Stay with your group and adult leader at all times

  • Dress for the weather be prepared to go outside
    on the trails when you visit
  • Wear an old pair of shoes that you dont mind
    getting dirty or muddy
  • Apply bug spray only at home do not bring it to
    school or to the Outdoor Learning Center
