The objective of this study

• Enhance NATOs interoperability.
• The report contains industry views on how to
  improve interoperability of NATO coalition forces
  and recommendations and advice for actions to be
  taken by NATO, NATO nations, and industry.

Understanding Interoperability

• The study examined interoperability from the
• broadest available definition
• The ability of systems, units, or forces to
  provide
• services to and accept services from other
• systems, units, or forces, and to use the
  services
• so exchanged to enable them to operate
• effectively together.
• Also NATOs definition (from the C3 point of
  view)
• is important
• The ability of Alliance Forces, and when
  appropriate,
• forces of Partner and other nations, to train,
  exercise,
• and operate effectively together in the execution
  of
• assigned missions and tasks

  operational capability of accreditation,
  standardization and certification
• NATOs Universal Armaments Interface to leverage
  on MOD UK and DOD US work.
• NRF lessons learned and scenario database by
  exploiting the existing wealth of already
  identified data and adding emerging technologies
