Research Problem The current technical,
institutional political and economic
relationships between local and state governments
in Australia are limiting the potential for
sharing property related information, and hence
SDI development at state and national levels.

Research Objectives 1 Investigate the barriers
and impediments that are limiting the potential
integration of spatial data 2. Describe and
assess the current status of local-state
government partnerships for sharing property
information around Australia and a number of
representative states in particular. 3.
Identify, measure and analyse the partnership
arrangements and factors that impact on
successful arrangements data sharing between
local and state governments 4. Develop a generic
business model for spatial data sharing between
local and state governments
