The school vicinity CABBAGETOWN VILLAGE The
school is situated downtown, in a historic part
of the city known affectionately as
'Cabbagetown.
The name "Cabbagetown" originated in the mid-19th
Century, when the Irish immigrants who lived in
the area planted unusually large cabbage patches
on their front lawns! Today this area has the
largest concentration of Victorian homes in North
America and is like a small village within
downtown . Residents have spent considerable
time/ money restoring these to their original
beauty.
The village offers quaint stores, trendy second
hand boutiques, antiques, art, friendly pubs,
summer patios, dance theaters, lots of cafes and
restaurants, great delicatessens and florists.
Cabbagetown even has its own working inner city
farm.

Our school - DOWNTOWN
  • Toronto Languages Plus combines a charming
heritage building, offering a funky 'boutique'
ambience, a family atmosphere yet with a
    professional approach to teaching English.
  • Located a short walk from the majority of
Toronto's many attractions, our school occupies
a building built in the 1870s - which has been
fully renovated and modernized - a unique school
    in Toronto!
  • Outside the school offers private parking for 5
cars and a private school entrance area.
  • We have a large private garden to the rear of
the school, which is very rare considering we are
located in the center of downtown. The garden is
a very popular place for students to relax
between or after classes and is ideal for school
    barbeques and afternoon activities.
