Midlands Work Done
21
Midlands Priority Project Sian Ghana
Sian acquired by Midlands August 2006
  • Sian Project a past gold producer with a
complete CIL plant in the center of an emerging
gold district in the NE part of the Ashanti Belt

22
Sian-Kwahu Praso District
Midlands controls the district 30 km north of
Akyem deposit
  • Sian Kwahu Praso total 160 sq. km
  • Sian Soil Anomaly 4 km strike length
  • Kwahu Praso project covers north south
    anomaly extensions
  • Exploring 16km strike length trend

23
Target on Sian/Praso
  • HERE IS WHY WE HAVE SET THE TARGET
  • OF 5 M OZ ON SIAN/PRASO
  • Sian/Praso - a 160 sq km gold district
  • on trend with giant gold deposits Akyem 8.7 m
    oz
  • a 16 km corridor with gold soil anomalies yet to
    be drilled
  • 5 new gold zones have been discovered
  • drill results show continuity of grades and
    widths 0f over 500 meters
  • less than 10 of this highly prospective area has
    been explored to date

24
Sian Drill Results
Esaase Deposit Extended
  • Hanging Wall Zone
  • Esaase South Zone
  • Mpeyo Zone

New Gold Zones Discovered
25
Esaase Deposit Results
  • Esaase Deposit is Extended
  • Mineralized strike length over 950 meters
  • Open to the North and South
  • Two parallel structures
  • Untested ground to the south

26
Esaase Deposit Results
  • Mineralized strike length over 950 meters, open
    to north and south
  • - mineralization continues both to the north and
south of the existing historic resource at Sian
  • - along a strike length of approx 950 meters,
    remaining open at both ends
  • Two parallel structures
  • - mineralization is present in two parallel
structures, ten to thirty meters apart
  • - Grades are in the range of 0.5 to 2.7 g/t
over widths of 2.7 to 12 meters
  • - higher-grade intervals over 1 meter

27
Esaase Deposit Results
  • Untested ground to the south
  • - Two DDH holes drilled to the south of the
Esaase pit returned grades of around three to 3.5
    g/t over 6 to 7 meters.
  • - The southern extension changes direction
from the north-south trend in the open pit, to a
southeast orientation, towards ground that has
    not yet been drill tested.
  • Several soil geochemistry anomalies within Sian
    and Kwahu Praso properties
  • - A soil anomaly contour cluster contour for
values over 100ppb gold extends to the west and
south of the Esaase drill area.
  • - In addition, there are several other soil
anomalies within a 16 km corridor that are yet
    to be drill tested.
