Objective
  • To create a tool for veterinarians for
identifying the potential risk of exposure to
Rickettsia spp. for residents of Benton and
    Washington Counties.
  • Using pathogen detection data and layers for
Benton and Washington Counties, we created a map
which allowed us to identify areas with the
highest risk of pathogen transmission. This data
can be used by veterinarians to make vaccination
    recommendations.

Discussion
  • With Our Maps We Can
  • Make a list of populated areas at high risk
  • Send these lists to local veterinarians for
    recommendations
  • LIVE database
  • Future
  • Other pathogens
  • Other areas
  • Let imagination go wild!
