What is hepatitis B?

• Hepatitis B is a virus that infects the liver.

How is hepatitis B spread?

• Birth-by infected Mother
• Blood-by infected blood /needle/syringe/ medical
  device/Piercing
• Sex-with infected partner
• Sharing razors or toothbrushes

Hepatitis B CANNOT be spread by

• Coughing or sneezing
• Sharing food and water
• Sharing chopsticks or other utensils
• Eating food prepared by an infected person
• Breastfeeding to vaccinated newborn
• Casual contact
• Kissing on cheek
• Shaking hands
• Hugging or holding hands
