Mr. Swaels is Managing Vice President of the
European Leadership Development Solutions
Business, based in Korn/Ferry Internationals
Brussels office. During several years with the
Unilever Group after graduation, Mr. Swaels
acquired an in-depth knowledge of marketing.
Before joining Korn/Ferry in 1984, Mr. Swaels
spent 11 years with another search firm, where he
developed an interest in leadership and
management problems in marketing and
communications-oriented companies. Later, he
took part in the restaffing of a wide range of
companies faced with human resource problems
brought on by major organizational changes.
Since joining Korn/Ferry, Mr. Swaels has held
various responsibilities in the firm. He is a
member of several committees of the firms board
of directors.
In his present position Marc Swaels is currently
dedicating his entire time to building and
developing the Leadership Development Solutions
Business in Europe, which includes Management
Assessment, Executive Coaching and Development
and Talent/Performance Management Solutions. Mr.
Swaels was President of the CEPAC Alumni
Association (Solvay Business School Brussels
University) from 1981 to 1990. He is also
President of the Belgian Association of Executive
Search. After studying in New York, Mr. Swaels
attended Brussels University where he obtained a
Doctor of Law degree as well as a degree in
commercial law. He also became a postgraduate
fellow in business administration (CEPAC Ecole
de Commerce SOLVAY) at the University of
Brussels.
