WHERE to find Websites
  • Websites can be created quickly and easily with
the companies and programs available today on the
    web or through Texas AM!
  • There are many Web Hosts to choose from check
out other websites and ask other Aggie Mom clubs
who they use their referrals can guide you.
Search Member Clubs at www.aggiemoms.org to
get the names of those clubs whose sites look
    interesting.
  • There are online companies Mamboserver.com and
Homestead.com plus others who can provide
    complete service.

7
WHERE continued
  • Some companies will offer a 30 day free trial to
you. Keep the following information in mind when
    shopping
  • 25 MB of disc space minimum is recommended
  • 10 GB of data transfer (band width)
  • Another option is to purchase a program such as
Dreamweaver, with which to create your site. You
can then lease disc space and band width from
web hosting companies such as Purehost for an
    annual fee.
  • Microsoft Publisher also has a simple program for
creating a website. When you decide to publish
to the web they will direct you to names of host
    companies to publish your pages.

WHEN To Start!
  • Anytime is a good time - every group of Aggie
Moms has someone who likes to play with the
computer and who isnt afraid to try a new idea
    find that special person!
  • After finding the website that fits your budget
pre-design what you are looking for on paper.
  • See the attached samples.
  • When you are ready to go on the web let everyone
    know
