5Creating and Browsing Staff and Students
- Studioware allows you to create an unlimited
number of staff and students. The browsing
functionality allows you to page through the
data and sort the records by clicking on the
column headers. For example, you can sort the
students by the Balance fields to see which
students have the highest outstanding balance, or
sort by Last Pay Date to see which
students/families owe on their account.
6Student Information
- The student records tell you everything you need
to know about your student in an easy to use
interface. With the student record you can
view/edit Phone Number, Email Addresses, Mailing
Addresses, Web Sites, Summary Information, Family
Members, Classes, Attendance, Financial
Transactions, Invoices, Notes, Contacts, Payees,
History and Custom Fields.
7Custom Fields
- Custom fields allow you to extend Studiowares
functionality to capture the data you want to
save. Studioware allows you to create custom
lists and custom fields for students and staff.
The custom fields are available on the Student
record and optionally displayed on the Add
Student. Custom fields can be created as Text
Fields, Check Box Lists, Currency, Date/Time,
Drop Down Lists, Numeric, Radio Lists, True/False
or Yes/No.
8Studioware Classes
- Studioware allows you to create an unlimited
number of classes. Classes can be group or
private classes. Furthermore, classes can be
closed schedule (specific start and stop dates),
open schedule (there is no specified stop date)
or on-demand (one-time classes). A single class
can be scheduled at multiple locations, at
different times, with different instructors.
9Studioware Tuition and Payment Schedules
- Studioware offers a lot of flexibility when
setting the tuition items and payment schedules
for a class. A class can have any number of
different tuition items, each with their own
payment schedule. Tuition items can be products
(such as a required book for example) or tuition
charges. For example, a class could have 150
total tuition where 30 is due at the time of
enrollment, 30 is due at the 2nd lesson, 60 is
due at the beginning of the 2nd month, and the
final payment of 30 is due 10 days before the
class ends. Studioware will track all the
tuition charges in the Students accounts.
10Studioware Sessions
- A single class in Studioware can be scheduled
many times. For example, the class Introduction
to Ballet has two sessions that operate
independently of each other.
