• Presentation in annual meeting, with President
  Carlos Rodriguez, support. May 2005
• A lot of discussion ocurred, as a result a new
  meeting was obtained september the 29 th, in Sao
  Paulo with
• AMN, COPANT presidents, and representatives
  from the 4 Mercosur countries.

• Talks with Industry leaders in Costa Rica to have
  full support for INTECO and improve status
• Task accomplished, just in time, very soon
• signature of FTA with USA is expected to
  take place

ICONTEC from Colombia convinced to be a CANENA
member, Fabio Tobón, General Director applied
for. Colombia in process to sign a FTA with the
USA

• I attended IEC General Assembly- Cape Town,
  october 21st 05, representing CANENA
• A paper was presented in SMB- IEC how is CANENA
  progressing in regards of our agreement with IEC,
  (october 17th, 2005)
• We got also an IEC approval to attend the CAB
  meeting oct. 18th as an observer

• ALCA- FTAA, still in limbo
• ASPAN, starting to take steam- Automotive
  industry. Medical, telecom, under discussion.

  facing COFEMER (Regulatory improvement agency)
