What is it?
The Stock Market Game (SMG) is a proven tool
for schools to improve the learning experience in
the classroom

  • Students entering college are offered an
    average of eight
  • credit cards the first week of school
  • University administrators state they lose more
    students
  • to credit card debt than to academic failure
  • College students borrowed in the 90s what they
  • borrowed in the 60s, 70s, and 80s combined

    unbanked are not using mainstream, insured
    financial institutions

-Teams of three to five students invest a virtual
100,000 in common stocks and mutual funds listed
on NYSE, AMEX, or Nasdaq -SMG stock prices are
based on real world prices

fee charged for each transaction (hidden math
problem!) -Interest paid on cash balances
