Title: THE ASTRATA GROUP ATAGLANCE

1
  • THE ASTRATA GROUP AT-A-GLANCE
  • Astrata designs, develops, distributes and
supports proprietary hardware and software that
tracks, controls and monitors the movement of
assets and people. The tremendous advantage of
Astratas technology is its adaptability to many
    applications, including homeland security and
    covert operations using over-the-air
    programmability. In addition, the system
provides real-time reports of the current
position of the asset and its travel history.
Astratas technology can integrate a variety of
sensors and devices to offer protection levels
ranging from sounding alarms to immobilizing
vehicles. If the vehicle deviates from its
planned course, it can be stopped or disabled.
  • Astrata has sold its products to businesses and
governments in Southeast Asia, Europe and the
Middle East for homeland security, public safety,
    fleet management, workforce monitoring, emergency
    services, transportation and construction.
Astrata has deployed the GLP40, a revolutionary,
    small battery powered, portable hand-held
tracking device for personnel and asset tracking
markets. Astrata has upgraded its Rapid
Deployment Unit to improve GPS and battery life
for homeland security and customs applications.
  • Most recently, Astrata launched its new GLP100 -
A compact, state of the art GPS tracking device
specifically developed to meet the rigorous
demands of homeland security applications. A
primary feature of the GLP100 is its small and
lightweight form, making it easy to conceal.
  • BUSINESS REVENUE SOURCESAstrata Group derives
revenue from contracts for its hardware and
software from businesses and governments here and
    abroad.
  • Government Contracts typically are for turn-key
systems. After sale, the client manages, runs
and staffs the system. Its server-based secure
command and control system as well as its data
remain under the clients exclusive control.
After sale, Astrata may perform maintenance and
    consultancy services. Upgrades or expansions
    represent additional contracts. Most recently,
Astratas government contracts are with the
Singapore Civil Defense Force, South West
Highways, UK, and the Singapore Police Force.
  • Commercial contracts are typically service-based
packages of two-to five-year duration with low or
zero initial costs and include a web-based or
server-based command and control system. Sensors
are tailored to clients requirements. Either
Astrata or the client may host the data. Recent
commercial contracts PT Securicor and Cotecna.
  • Classified contracts Astrata entered into a
classified contract with a Singapore company to
manufacture, ship and service 93 million worth
of its telematics products over a two year
period. The contract includes options to extend
the scope of work. No other information may be
    disclosed under prevailing non-disclosure
    agreements among the parties.
  • INVESTMENT HIGHLIGHTS
  • Growing Sales Current backlog as of May 2008 of
110 million over a two year period.
  • Proprietary Technology  Astrata's proprietary
    over-the-air technology enables users to
monitor, control and manage virtually any piece
of equipment, vehicle, asset or individual while
en route, in real time, including the ability to
    immobilize a vehicle, if necessary.
