Definition
Younger YouthSkill Attainment Rate
  • Official definition For all in-school youth and
any out-of-school youth assessed to be in need of
basic skills, work readiness skills or
occupational skills, the total number of all
goals (up to three per year) attained divided by
the number of goals set. If the youth is judged
to be basic skills deficient, at least one of the
goals must be a basic skills goal.

Guidelines
Younger YouthSkill Attainment Rate
  • More Information
  • If youth are assessed basic skills deficient, a
basic skills goal must be set.
  • Goals do not have to be in different skill sets
(i.e. all goals could be basic skills goals).
  • Skill attainment goals are meant to be achievable
intermediate goals. Goal(s) must be meaningful
    for youth.
