Humanitarian response programme
  • NZ has been accepting refugees for resettlement
    since the end of the Second World War.
  • 1987 Govt established a formal annual quota for
    resettlement of Refugees.
  • NZ is party to both the 1951 Refugee Convention
    and the 1967 Protocol Relating to the Status of
    Refugees.
