Company History

• In 1869, Gustav Goelitz bought an ice cream and
  candy store in Belleville, Ill.
• His second generation created innovations such as
  buttercream candies, including candy corn
• Los Angeles candy distributor had an idea for a
  jelly bean made with natural flavorings, so he
  called up the Goelitz Candy Co.
• In 1976, the first eight flavors were born,Very
  Cherry, Lemon, Cream Soda, Tangerine, Green
  Apple, Root Beer, Grape and Licorice
• These are still the most popular flavors today!

• Some of the 50 flavors include
• Carmel Apple, Jalapeno, Margarita, Toasted
  Marshmallow, Caramel Corn, and AW Cream Soda.

• Today the Jelly Bean Franchise includes products
