Introduction
Paulding County is growing very rapidly.
Builders want to drain a community pond so they
can build a subdivision. The pond has green tree
frog eggs in it. The green tree frog is the
state symbol for amphibians. Therefore, the
state of Georgia will not allow the pond to be
drained until the frogs have completed their
stages of metamorphosis.

Task
The commissioners of Paulding County have hired
you and your partners to compile a report on the
stages of metamorphosis of the green tree frog.
They need this information so that they can tell
the builders when they may start draining the
pond. Your group will research the stages of
metamorphosis and design a mini-book. When you
are an expert on frogs, your task is to make a
mini-book to send to the commissioners that
explains the stages of metamorphosis.

frog.

    have
  • finished the webquest.
  • Did you wonder what happened to the other animals
  • that live in the pond?
  • Would you have allowed the pond to be drained?
  • Why or why not?
  • Which is more important, that people have houses
