Main Places
  • Badby has two pubs, a primary school, a village
    hall, a plant nursery and church!

  • Badby is a fairly small and quiet place but all
    the buildings are very exquisite and the views
    are extraordinary!
  • The pubs are open most days!

Events
  • Badby tries to have many events to raise money
    for the church and school!
  • There is Bluebell Sunday in May, Rose day in
    June, Badby fair in the summer holiday and 2 or 3
    times a year we have jumble sales in the village
    hall!
  • The events are open to anyone in the public!
  • But we only have the Badby fair every 2 years!

History
  • Many years ago Badby was roamed by Saxons and
    then Normans!
  • Henry VIII granted the manors of Badby and
    Newnham in 1542 to Sir Edmund Knightly and his
    wife Ursula!
  • Thats how the Knightly Way got its name.

  • At Badby village hall many clubs take place
    during the day and the evening for example
  • Brownies on Tuesday at 5.45pm
  • Chestnuts nursery weekday mornings
  • Newborn club
  • And you can hold parties and events there

Woods
  • Badby woods is extremely popular for families and
    walkers!
  • It is a perfect place for dog walking (but please
    pick up your dogs mess), picnics and walking!
  • It is also a great place to see wildlife and
    animals for it is home to many deer!
  • Badby woods is an ancient wood so please treat it
    with respect!

Badby Primary school!
  • Badby Primary school has been around since 1936
    and is still running now!
  • The head teacher is currently Mr.Dadd and he has
    been head for two years!
  • Badby is a very lucky school to have lots of
    country side around it!

Church
  • Badby church is the oldest building in Badby and
    has been around since Saxon times.
  • The church is used for Sunday services and
    special events like Christmas and Easter!
  • The vicar is Reverend Pettit who does nearly all
    the services!
