• Grades K-8 Beginning of the school year through
  April 15
• Grade 9-12 Entire school year as put into units
  of months of instruction
• First month of the school year or from the first
  month that a new class was created to the last
  month ending on or before June 30

• Collect total enrollment by day for all
  classrooms within the grade level from first day
  of school until April 15
• For combination classes, the grade level with
  most number of students becomes the grade level
  of the class for QEIA purposes

  sum by the total number of class days through
  April 15.
• The result is the average class size for the
  class for the year.

• Grade levels by core subjects have different
  targets
• Different types of scheduling options such as
  block schedules and courses spanning less than
  the full year

• Cumulative number of students enrolled each day
  divided by the number of instructional days in

• The school reduced class size during 2005-06
  using High Priority Grant funds. As a result,
  QEIA CSR targets have resulted in very low QEIA
  CSR targets.
