CRÉDIT EXTRA chez Madame
Larson-Horne
Extra credit is rewarded in euros, not added to
grades however, there are a few grade-boosting
incentives that may be purchased with your euros.
I will not allow accumulation of euros to
substitute for diligent work and study.
French media articles Find articles on France or
other francophone countries (see Francophone
handout). Clip them out, bring them in, and you
will receive 5 euros. If you read the article
and write a summary of it, you will receive 20
euros. French ads products Look through
magazines for ads about French products (hint
cosmetics and clothing ads are a great place to
start), clip them out. Look around the house for
products made in France or with French writing on
them. Bring these ads or products in, and you
will receive 1 euro for each item. Dont worry,
I wont keep your stuff ?!

French recipes Find and prepare a French recipe.
There are cook-books in the library, and the
internet is also an excellent resource. You may
either prepare these recipes at home for your
family, and write a report on its preparation and
a critique of its success, or you may bring your
creation in to share with the class. Please
check with me before you bring anything. French
food preparation is worth 40 euros.
French books videos Read a work of French
literature (in English translation if you are in
French I-III), and write a book report. Rent a
French movie (with subtitles, if necessary), and
write a critique. These ambitious projects are
worth 50 100 euros.
