  • There are currently four residences used by the
    reigning sovereign, two of which belong to the
    people of Britain and two of which are the
    personal property of the monarch.

  • Belonging to British people, official home in
    London of royal family.
  • Residence of royal family since Queen Victoria in
    1837.

  • Also belonging to nation, 22 miles west of
    London, weekend summer home of royals for 900
