About daylight saving time

• An act to preserve daylight and provide standard
  time for the United States was enacted on March
  19,1918.
• It begins for most of the U.S. at 200a.m. on the
  first Sunday in April and reverts back to
  standard time at 200a.m. on the last Sunday in
  October. Each time zone switches at different
  times.
• In the European Union, the changes occur at
  100a.m. Universal time on the last Sunday in
  March and reverts back on the last Sunday in
  October. Each time zone switches at the same
  time.
