A Pilot Project What is It?

• Working groups work on topics of interest to the
  IGS
• charter and terms of reference
• Pilot Projects
• leverage the outputs from WG activities
• provide an opportunity to further refine these
  outputs towards developing new IGS service
  offerings
• first major step is to complete and release a
  call for participation

Towards Real-time Workshop

• RTWG Position Paper
• The goal is to have in place a reliable, robust
  and manageable system of data and products
  exchange coming from a global network of
  multidisciplinary real-time tracking stations.
• The objective of this session is to lay down the
  foundation needed to facilitate a free flowing
  exchange of real-time data and products among IGS
  members.

CFP- Key Objectives

• Manage and maintain a global IGS real-time GNSS
  tracking network
• Enhance and improve selected IGS products
• Generate real-time products
• Investigate standards and formats for real-time
  data collection, data dissemination and delivery
  of derived products
• Monitor the integrity of IGU predicted orbits and
  GNSS status

• Official start of the pilot project occurred in
  April 2008
• Existing Activity
• RTACC
• Data exchange and product exchange formats
• Website needs to be updated
• GDCs will become engaged
• Considering common look and feel for RTIGS/NTRIP
  data exchange interfaces
