Student Success Stories
A transfer student studying public policy who is
also an avid Jazz musician, applies for Metcalf
internships with the Smithsonian Museums Jazz
archive and the Chicago Mayors office.
He receives an internship in policy at the
Mayors Office for the summerthey ask him to
stay on throughout the school year.
His Jazz trio made up of another undergraduate
and a graduate Philosophy student also receives a
Summer grant from the Arts Planning Council.

Student Success Stories
A 4th year Biological Chemistry major, having
second thoughts about medical school came to CAPS
to explore other opportunities.
He participated in the Recruiting Immersion Camp
wrote targeted cover letters and resumes
practiced his interviewing skills with GSB
students.
He was pre-selected for 17 interviews with top
financial service and consulting firms received
4 offers and decided on health care consulting.
He returned this year to participate in the
career fair as an employer!
