Title: The Square of Life
1The Square of Life
- A Project Presented by
- Ms. Cekorics Fifth Grade Class
- Stokes Elementary School
- Trenton, NJ
2Who did we pick?
- We examined the data
- from
- Los Gatos, CA
- Queen Creek, AZ
- Shenandoah, IA.
- Mt. Gambier, Australia
-
- Why?
- West coast of the US
- A drier climate
- Same longitude
- Because it was the furthest away
3Our group observed red ants, white butterflies
bees and flies. We had flowers growing
(dahlinova virginia) which attracted the insects.
We even found spider eggs.
4Differences
We received an email from the school in Iowa
asking why we had so many living insects in our
squares. We attributed that to the sunny and
warm weather we had been having, and the flowers
growing in the area. They heard a lot of birds
chirping, we have a playground and a main street,
so we hear traffic.

butterflies into our squaresthen they will
