Engineering Services

• Proposal are DUE June 20, 2008
• Anticipated Start Date for Underground Work
  Sept. 2008
• Objectives for Preliminary Design of Lab Modules
  at 4850 Level and 300 Level
• 1) to provide a better understanding of the rock
  properties
• to characterize the rock conditions in the areas
  of proposed
• future development
• to establish parameters and recommendations for
  the rock
• excavation design work to follow in the next
  phase of work for DUSEL
• to provide geotechnical data that can be used to
  evaluate potential
• impacts that phased construction will have on
  the adjacent rock.
