Hartford Supplemental Life
  • Maximum coverage amount for employees increased
    from 300,000 to 500,000.
  • ?ONE-TIME OPPORTUNITY DURING THIS YEARS OPEN
    ENROLLMENT for employees to increase coverage by
    up to 150,000.00 (up to a maximum of 250,000
    total coverage) without having to go through the
    underwriting process.
  • Example 1 Employee with 100,000 of current
    coverage can increase to 250,000 without
    providing evidence of insurability
  • Example 2 Employee with 0 of current coverage
    can increase to 150,000 without providing
    evidence of insurability
  • Example 3 Employee with 200,000 of current
    coverage can increase to 250,000 without
    providing evidence of insurability

What if I dont complete the Open Enrollment
process?
  • Your insurance choices will remain the same as
    they were for 2008. (Remember, the SelectCare
    plan will be replaced by SelectMed for those
    employees enrolled with SelectHealth.)
  • ? You will be enrolled in the Catastrophic Sick
    Leave bank only if you contributed in one of the
    previous three years.
  • You will not be enrolled in the Flexible Spending
    Plan for 2009

Is there anything else I need to do?
  • YES Be sure to sign the summary form which will
    print following the automated enrollment process
    and return one copy to your Location Insurance
    Representative who will forward them to the
    Insurance Department.

How can I check to see what my current insurance
coverage choices are?
  • Anytime throughout the year, you may view your
    current insurance coverage by logging on to
    ENCORE
  • Select Financial Information ?Insurance ?User
    Information ? W2 Information ? Insurance
