- The International Nut and Dried Fruit Council is
a non-profit organization formed in 1983. - Source for information on nuts and dried fruits
for health, nutrition, food safety, Government
Standards and Government Regulations regarding
trade barriers and trade quality standards.
3The I.N.C. Mission and Objectives
- The I.N.C. represents almonds, Brazil nuts,
cashews, hazelnuts, macadamias, pecans, pinenuts,
pistachios, walnuts, apricots, dates, figs,
prunes, raisins and peanuts.
4I.N.C.s Objectives Include
- Increasing understanding about production,
processing, marketing, distribution and
consumption trends in the nut and dried fruit
industry. - Increasing market access by monitoring and
intervening on customs duties and trade barriers.
5I.N.C.s Objectives Include
- Assuring global quality standards and trading
terms are within the framework of existing
national and international bodies and do not
inhibit trade within the industry. - Promoting research, (especially nutrition and
education) and new product development.
