  • To develop a transition plan in anticipation of
    Fr. Lawrences retirement that preserves our
    community identity and function
  • To implement the first phase of reflection,
    discussion, and evaluation relying on past
    examinations and seeking broad current community
    input
  • To address community growth and
  • To keep the parish community well-informed.

  • To change our mind-set - from to know us is
    to love us to how we as a community can meet the
    needs of younger adults and families
  • To instruct all parish committees to develop
    creative projects within their scope
  • To request the newly-formed 20s-30s Group and
    Young Families to evaluate
  • To be willing to invest in the effort

  • Council constitutional duty to appoint and
    terminate committees to implement mission
  • Strength and blessing of St Vs that we have a
    multitude of groupsbut
  • Not all need to be responsible for implementing
    strategic planning although some must
  • We must present an effective organization to PLD
    candidates
  • Need an effective bottom-up self-evaluation

Transition
  • Needs to include engagement period prior to
    contractual commitment to - get to know each
    other - demonstrate people/administrative
    skills- adapt to how we understand being
    Church- provide/receive mentoring
  • Needs to include buffer time if we need to
    resume search
