• Each of electronic documents which can contain
  text, graphics, sound and video.
• Hyperlinks/links
• Connections to other documents which allow you to
  move quickly from one document to another.
• Web site
• A collection of related Web pages that you can
  access electronically.
• Home page
• Web sites starting point which similar to a book
  cover.
• HTML
• A formatting language that tells the browser how
  to display text and images and other multimedia
  on a Web page.

• A software program that requests a Web page,
  interprets the HTML codes and text used, then
  displays the Web page on your computer screen.

Elements of a Web Page

• Window elements
• Title text that displays on the title bar of
  the browser window when web page displays.
• Background either solid color or small graphic
  image that provides a backdrop against other
  elements.
• Text elements
• Body text that makes up the content of a Web
  page.
• Header the page title and other information
  about the page is contained.
• Hyperlink elements
• An area of the page that you click to instruct
  the browser to go to a location in a file or
  request from Web server.

• A graphic file that can be inserted on a web page
  as displayed in a Web browser.
• Form, table and frame elements
• Form area of a Web page that allows the viewer
  to enter data and information to be sent back to
  the Web server.
• Table used to present text and graphics in rows
  or columns.
• Frame allows you to divide the display area of
  the browser into sections.
