Aims

• Sörmland municipalities will actively contribute
  to the realisation of the Lisbon Strategy in
  order to reach positive growth and development in
  the region.
• Increased awareness and understanding of the
  indicators importance for development of the
  region.
• Contribute to dissemination of knowledge about
  our EU membership.

Where we stand todayProject organisation

• Operative project management group set up
  comprising chief executives and the Regional
  Councils managing director
• The executive committees of the Regional Council
  and the municipalities form a steering group,
  charged of two politicians
• The Regional Council is responsible for
  coordinating external stakeholders, collecting
  and processing data, etc.

General thoughts and questions with focus on to
help the politicians

• How to combine political ambitions/region
  challenges with relevant statistic
• How to force the politicians to really own the
  project
• More regional statistics is needed
• Important with the dialogue
• with the citizens (EU on the marketsquare)
