traveling across international borders to obtain

22
What would my health plan look like?
23
Imagine a new health benefit option
24
What if something goes wrong?
25
Protective measures for all parties are available!
  • Insurance is available to protect the employee if
something goes wrong overseas. Legal systems are
different once you leave the USA.

26
Business opportunities for Implementing a Global
Healthcare Option
  • Include in value-add programs to fully insured,
self funded, the uninsured, and TPAs
  • Include as an option for High Deductible Health
    Plans
  • Include in limited benefit / mini-medical plans

27
Can Global Healthcare Options Save Money for
Employers?
  • Self-Funded Companies
  • Each procedure yields direct savings
  • Potential for reduced stop-loss premiums
  • Improve competitiveness nationally and
    internationally
  • Fully-Insured Companies
  • Lower medical trend
  • Potential premium reduction upon renewal
  • Offer procedures not covered in plan (gastric
    bypass, or pre-existing conditions)

28
Is it profitable for payors?
  • Increase access to care for members
  • Improve member retention
  • Improve member satisfaction
  • Respond to customer needs with wider selection of
    network facilities
  • Respond to an increasingly mobile population

29
Example of cost savings potential for a
self-insured company
  • An Employee of a self insured company needs a hip
    replacement costing 50,000.
  • Normally, the employee would pay a deductable
    (500) then be responsible for 20 of the
difference (9,900) for a total of 10,400. The
employer would pay 80 of the difference
    (39,600).
  • With a Global Healthcare Option, if the employee
utilizes a network facility, the employer would
pay the whole cost (around 8,000) and the
    employee would pay nothing.

30
Can Global Healthcare Options be Beneficial for
Employers?
  • Increase access to care for employees and their
    dependents
  • Expands benefit plans with minimal cost
  • Offers a wider selection of network facilities
  • Respond to an increasingly mobile population
  • Recruit and retain talented employees

31
How can Global Healthcare Options add value to an
employee benefit consulting firm?
  • Additional product offering to your current
product line that is cutting edge to offer to
    your existing and prospective clients.
  • An additional potential revenue stream to your
company while adding value to your clients.
  • Full service support from the global provider to
assist in enrollment or company sign ups.
