Psalm 50 14-23 14 Offer unto God thanksgiving
and pay thy vows unto the most High 15 And call
upon me in the day of trouble I will deliver
thee, and thou shalt glorify me. 16 But unto the
wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to
declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take
my covenant in thy mouth? 17 Seeing thou hatest
instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
14
18 When thou sawest a thief, then thou
consentedst with him, and hast been partaker
with adulterers. 19 Thou givest thy mouth to
evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit. 20 Thou
sittest and speakest against thy brother thou
slanderest thine own mother's son. 21 These
things hast thou done, and I kept silence thou
thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as
thyself but I will reprove thee, and set them
in order before thine eyes.
15
22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I
tear you in pieces, and there be none to
deliver. 23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me
and to him that ordereth his conversation aright
will I shew the salvation of God.
16
Psalm 50 21 21 These things you have done, and
I kept silent you thought that I was altogether
like you but I will rebuke you, and set them in
order before your eyes. New King James Version

Across the chasm of 1800 years Jesus Christ
makes a demand which is beyond all others
difficult to satisfy. He asks for that which a
philosophy may seek in vain. He asks for the
human heart. -- Napoleon
21
After reading the doctrines of Plato, Socrates
or Aristotle, we feel the specific difference
between their words and Christs is the
difference between an inquiry and a
revelation. -- Joseph Parker
22
Since the days of Christ, in spite of all the
progress of thought, not a single new ethical
ideal has been given to the world. -- G.
Thomas
23
No revolution that has ever taken place in
society can be compared to that which has been
produced by the words of Jesus Christ. --
Mark Hopkins
24
As the centuries pass the evidence is
accumulating that, measured by his effect on
history, Jesus is the most influential life ever
lived on this planet. That influence appears to
be mounting -- Kenneth Scott Latourette
