Deltronics Control Box
  • The Control Box is connected to the computer
    through serial port.
  • It has 4 analogue inputs, 8 digital inputs and
    outputs and 4 motors. The motors can also use the
    outputs to function.

Control 95
  • We have used Control 95 Flow Chart Editor to
    program our coffee maker.

Pumps
  • The pumps we are using is from a car wind screen.
  • We use the pumps to fill in the kettle and to
    fill in the warm water from the kettle to the
    cup.

Kettle
  • The kettle is also connected the Deltronics
    Control Box.
  • It heats the water until it comes to a certain
    temperature.
  • Low voltage kettle for safety reasons so we had
    to use a power box to make the voltage high.

Fill-Up Sensor
  • Sensors being screwed inside top of the kettle
    cap

Temperature Sensor
  • Temperature sensor is inserted in the kettle and
    connected to the Deltronics Control Box.

Stir
  • Stir is connected to the Deltronics Control Box.
    The stir is placed in the cup

Program process
  • We need to connect all the produces together.

Coding for fill in the kettle
  • The pump is connected to motor A.
  • The fill-up sensor is connected to input 0.
  • Motor A is switch on.
  • Is input 0 off?
  • If yes switch motor A off.
  • If no then carry on filling.

Coding for heating
  • The kettle is connected to Output 7.
  • The temperature sensor is connected to the
    analogue input (Value1).
  • Switch on kettle.
  • Is value1 equals to 41 or more?
  • If no carry on heating.
  • If yes switch off kettle.

Coding for emptying the kettle
  • Pump is connected to motor B.
  • Switch on pump.
  • Wait for 100 seconds.
  • Switch of pump.

Coding for stirring
  • The stir is connected to motor C
  • Switch on stirrer
  • Wait for 10 seconds
  • Switch off stirrer
