General Rules
  • References cited in text must be in the reference
    list and vice versa.
  • Each entry begins flush left and subsequent lines
    of the entry are doubled spaced and indented five
    spaces from the left margin.
  • Alphabetize entries by name of author or by title
    if there is no author. Use the authors last
    name, then initials.
  • Capitalize only the first word of the title and
    subtitle of books, articles and chapters.
    Capitalize all words in a journal name and proper
    nouns.
  • Italicize titles and volume numbers.
