The Blue Cocoon
  • This story happened on Halloween when a boy
named Peter went out for trick or treat. He
only got a liquorice, an orange and an apple. He
couldnt go to anymore houses because he knew he
would be in big trouble. Suddenly, he met a
woman. The woman gave him a blue cocoon. Peter
was surprised. The woman said that if Peter
pulled a bit of the cocoon, he would grow older.
Peter was surprised when he closed his eyes and
opened them that the woman had gone. He rushed
home. The next day at school, in a boring
lesson, Peter pulled the string and he found
himself in the class an hour later. He was
delighted and everyday continued to do that. One
day, he accidentally pulled the string too far
and he found himself in the future when he had
children already. When he pulled the string
again, he became so old that he missed his
childhood. He wished he never used the cocoon.
Instead of shining gold, the cocoon was grey. He
pulled it but it wouldnt work. He closed his
eyes and when he opened them again, he found
himself back in the forest. The woman was smiling
    at him.
  • Trick or Treat? she said.
  • When Peter closed his eyes and opened them
again, the woman had disappeared. He went home
and was really happy he was a kid again.

The Empty Pot
  • A long time ago in China, there lived a boy
named Ping. One day, the emperor of China decided
to hold a competition to decide who would be the
next person to the throne of China. He decided
the competition should be to grow a seed. Many
people participated. When Ping received his seed,
he was delighted. He put the seed in a pot and
watched it day by day. But even after six months,
his seed still hasnt grown. He was very
disappointed about the seed but his parents still
made him go to the palace. The other competitors
all had beautiful tall plants. When the king
checked the plants, he frowned. He was very
disappointed. But when he got to Ping, he was
delighted. He shouted You have won! Ping was
surprised. But why? He asked. The seeds were
dead and so no plants could have grown. The other
plants were all fake. I dont know where they
bought the plants from, explained the King.
Ping was delighted and so he became king.

The Magic Garden
  • Once, there were 2 very good friends. One man
was a farmer. He had a small plot of land. His
friend had a piece of land of land as well. But
one day all of his friends sheep died. His
friend became poor. The farmer gave his friend
half of his land. One day as they were working,
the farmers friend found a pot of gold as he was
digging. They argued who the gold belonged to.
The farmer said that the gold was his friends
because his friend dug the gold up. The farmers
friend said that the land was the farmers so the
gold was the farmers. So they decided to go to
the wise man of the village. Out of all 4
students that gave suggestions, the 4th student
of the wise man was the wisest. He told that the
gold should be used to make a garden for the
poor. So the farmer went to the city to buy some
seeds but he saw some birds tied to the camels
being carried to the emperors palace. He bought
the birds with all the gold and set the birds
free. Then he realized his mistake. He was very
sad and was ashamed that he had not bought seed
for the garden. The next day, he was surprised,
birds were around him when he walked through the
city. They were the same birds that he had
saved. They built a garden for the poor and the
garden was the most beautiful garden that the
farmers had ever seen. There were gates to only
let the poor in and to keep the rich bad men out.
