Because there is more to horses than riding, we
spend a lot of time practicing and progressing
our horsemanship skills.
11
Again, horsemanship skills are taught in
accordance with developmental appropriateness and
previous experience. All campers practice the
very important task of grooming their horses.

Unmounted Activities
14
When campers are not riding, they are learning
about horses, horse care, and different horse
activities. These areas are called unmounted
activities.
15
Horse baths are a lot of fun on a warm, summer
day!
16
As Three Gaits develops a therapeutic driving
program, campers are able to watch the progress
of our driving pony, Nora.
17
Campers help with daily chores. This includes
feeding horses hay, grain, and supplements.
18
Dont worry theres no homework! But, we do
spend time learning about horses. Activities
teach campers about horse breeds, colors,
markings, and riding disciplines (sports).
19
Sounds like fun?
