REHABILITATION PROGRAM
Purpose To repair houses which were damaged by
the tsunami and earthquake, but still assets that
can be repaired and used as home by the
survivors. Eligible Beneficiaries Survivors of
the tsunami and earthquake (owners or entitled
inheritance of damaged houses who can demonstrate
his/her ownership entitlement either through
community-based approval or legal documents)

RECONSTRUCTION PROGRAM
Purpose to rehouse the survivors of the tsunami
and earthquake through assistance for on-site new
house reconstruction Eligible
Beneficiaries Survivors of the tsunami and
earthquake (owners or entitled inheritance of
destroyed houses who can demonstrate his/her
ownership entitlement either through
community-based approval or legal documents)

RECONSTRUCTION ENTITLEMENT
Two entitlement options for reconstruction 1.
Reconstruction of core house Type 36 in initial
site on existing land owned by the survivors or
entitled inheritance. 2. Cash compensation and
facility to access low interest home improvement
credit for rebuilding houses which are larger
than the core house Type 36 on the land owned by
the survivors or entitled inheritance located
either in the initial settlement areas or areas
of their choice in NAD and Nias upon BRR
endorsement.

earthquake who lost his/her house and/or the land
became inhabitable. (owners or entitled
inheritance of lost house and land who can
demonstrate his/her ownership entitlement either
through community-based approval or legal
documents)
