Adjustment and Actions (POM-A)

• Even the most carefully planned, best
  staffed, and schedule friendly projects face
  changes and unexpected events. (e.g. a release
  by competitor with new technology)
• Software Project Managers should NOT be afraid to
  take actions MUST act when (the monitored data
  indicate needs) necessary ---- Monitor Adjust
  provide CONTROL
• But ---- many Do Not Act because
• hope problems will go away and resolve by
  itself
• fear of changes
• lack of knowledge (what options are available and
  what to do)
• etc.
